Landet med de blodige bakker is a novel written by Pablo Hamburger about the Rwandan genocide and it translates as 'The land with the bloody hills'.
I was commissioned by Lindbak + Lindbak - a publishing house from Denmark - to illustrate a striking cover for the book, combining militia members and bloody machetes with the unforgiving look of the Rwandan people.
